Could any of you genious's possibly post a diagram to show me where would be the best place to put the mid/high absorbers in an 11x11 room to get the best results for recording acoustic guitar? I have bass traps with FSK in the vertical and horizontal corners. And if so could you show me where would be the best place to sit in that room to play the guitar to get the best sound recorded? And I didn't say "genious" sarcastically. ;\) I really do appreciate your input. If I can just get the sound I looking for (a lush acoustic guitar rythm track) I'll be very greatful!!

I'm sorry if it seems I'm asking the same types of questions over and over but this room has been a tough problem to tackle.

This is not difficult to understand. \:D Anywhere a reflecting surface is near either the guitar or the microphone is a candidate for absorption.

How close is near. In a room my size even the wall farthest in front of me is only about 9 ft. away. Would just putting one 4" thick 2x4' panel on each parallel wall to the trick? If so is it ok to put the mid/high absorber close to a corner bass trap to help possible absorb a little more bass? Or would a mid/high absorber 4" thick help absorb more bass no matter where it is placed on a parallel wall. I plan on spacing these mid/high absorbers about 2" off the wall. Thanks for you patience with my questions.

All those surfaces are close. I really think you should experiment a little. \:D

Ethan, Is #8 (or 8lb.) mineral wool panels 2" thick ok for mid/high absorbers?
I used #8 for all my bass traps and mid/high panels. I've noticed some mid/high panels are #3. I was assuming that the higher the #, the better absorption qualities the panel would have. Are these ok??
