1000 Hz 0.99
2000 Hz 0.87
4000 Hz 0.87

What is the room used for? No way to know what the target should be without knowing the usage.

That's a really small room. My total WAG based on it being a control room and seeing where you are now would be at least 2 2" 703 panels and 2 1" panels. That's likely not enough but should help balance things out a bit.

More likely, looking at where things should go - let's say 3 1" panels on the front wall behind the monitors and between - and 2 2" panels - 1 on each side wall for reflections.

This room is mainly for recording ...

target to be is to make it as flat at possible...

how flat can someone expect to be in +/- db ?

You don't really want your recording room to be flat, bro. Furthermore, without making it a completely "dead" room, it's not a realistic goal.

Absolutely. If this is for tracking, you don't want it really dead. Diffusion will be almost impossible due to the size. You might put up just a couple of soft panels to tame things a little bit and maybe a cloud up on the ceiling.

Other than that, I'd think about some movable hard gobos to break up the flat parallel surfaces.

Spacing from the wall will extend how far down the absorbers go - provided you leave the back open.

Adam,

There's some data in the Forum FAQ:

http://www.ethanwiner.com/acoustics.html

Is that what you're thinking of?
