Hey guys
I don't have the experience, funds, and i'm not even considering this on a serious level at least for some time.. however, I was very curious about a few things when building a pro studio
Obviously the most exposure for a studio is going to be in a city environment. How do studios start in cities? I'm assuming the studio must have to purchase at least 2 floors of a building in order to have proper ceiling treatment and ceiling height for live rooms and the like, yes? Of course, assuming there is no real estate with 10+ft ceilings.. in which case they would probably prefer to buy something like that?
That would be my first question I guess.. does a studio simply have to find a place to buy that has the right sized ceilings, or is it common practice to buy two floors and demolish the ceiling of the bottom/floor of the top to accomplish a decent sized ceiling? Or am I way off, and are there pro studios with 7-8' ceilings even after a floated floor/proper isolation and such
Thanks for feeding my brain in advance!
Scott
