I finally got around to mounting the Minitraps in my new studio. The vertical across corners mounting is fairly easy. The horizontal floor/ceiling junction is not. Heck of a time getting them to sit right. I'm getting it. Are the mounting brackets supposed to bow out like they are for me? I thought about mounting a cleat across the wall in which the bottom of the Minitrap could rest and then pull it to the ceiling with two mounting wires??

Did you put the Molly bolts in the ceiling, 8 inches out from the wall? Here's a photo showing a wall-ceiling trap in my living room:

No, and you can see in the photo above that they stay straight when everything else is correct.

Thanks Ethan. I got the wires too tight I think. also a friend to help makes a big difference in the frustration level!

Are there ever any problems with the traps vibrating against the wall?

No, because they're heavy enough that they lay against the wall firmly.
