My listening area includes, in one corner, a wood-panelled door opening into a storage cupboard. This is filled with vacumn cleaners and the like.

This corner is particularly reactive to low frequencies (with or without the door open) and I can only assume this is due partly to the storage cupboard.

Would it be effective to damp the cupboard from the inside with 4” mineral wool slabs on the rear of the door and other surfaces? The ideal solution would of course be to stuff the entire cupboard with absorbent but this is a little impractical. Also WAF is low to other room treatments!

Owens 703 isn’t available in the UK so I’d be using Rocksil LS45 100mm which has a similar rated absorption coefficient at 48kg/m3. The RealTraps look superb Ethan but unfortunately cost about three times the price in the UK!

The only way to know for sure is to try it with the slabs inside the closet and then again outside. I'll guess it will be better outside, in the main part of the room.
