Hello,

I was thinking about using quite a few and different empty bottles in a configuration to approximate a broadband absorber. My problem is, what kind of insulation shall I put into the bottles and how much? Please list quite a few alternatives as far as insulation is concerned!

Cheers,

Dino

You could probably use fluffy fiberglass, and experiment by blowing across the bottle to see how much fiberglass is needed to reduce the pure tone. I have to say, your efforts might be better spent building a more conventional bass trap design. But if your goal is to experiment just for the fun of science, please let us know how it turns out.
