Welcome to the EQ Acoustics Forum!

The quality of your rooms has a profound affect on everything you record and mix in them. It's difficult to capture a great acoustic guitar sound when reflections off nearby surfaces create a boxy sound that defies equalization. And it's nearly impossible to create a decent mix when standing wave patterns in your control room skew the low frequency response by 30 dB or more.

Our goal here is to explain and discuss this fascinating subject, and all questions and comments related to acoustics and acoustic treatment are invited. Are you curious what a bass trap does? You came to the right place. Or maybe you're building a basement studio and want to know the best size and shape for the control room? You're sure to get solid advice here.
