Purchased this amplifier within the last year and I'm in the process of replacing the Pre-Amp tubes. According to the Instruction Manual it says that it uses 5 12AX7 Pre-Amp tubes and also 1 12AT7 Tube for the Reverb. Like an Idiot I pulled all 6 tubes but have no clue which of the 6 slots are for the pre-amp tubes and which of the 6 slots is for the reverb tube.

The B-52 Website does not have a downloadable schematic and the instruction manual does not tell me anything beyond basic operation instructions. Does anyone here know, from left to right on the back panel, what the tube configuration is? I guess, more importantly, does it really matter in the grand scheme of things considering that the tubes look, appearance wise, to be virtually identical.

Thanks, in advance, for youe help.

On mine it's the 3rd input down for the 12AT7, counting from the side with the bigger tubes.

Welcome, try and stay a while!

PS - Bitchin amp, huh!

THANK YOU!!!!! Damn. I thought I was going to go slightly insane trying to find out that info. I even contacted B-52 and am still waiting for one of their TECH guys to get back to me.

Yeah I love the amp......but I have never liked SOVTEK for tubes I use JJ's (hmmm......no pun intended!?!?).

I'm happy to have found this forum and I will stay.

Cheers

hey no problem man!

What kind of guitars do you play? feel free to make an intro thread for yourself. This isn't like other guitar forums at all. No big egos or anything...
