I had also posted this on the original master music thread a couple of days ago, but since it's my first one in 2005, it should probably go here. Here\'s That Rainy Day Paul

Great track Paul. A very warm an intimate tone too, the Pod takes nothing from your fantastic playing. I think I'm familiar enough with your playing now to say that I probably would have known that it was you, without having been told! It has all your usual hallmarks, smooth, laid back and almost effortlessly melodic. An absolute treat and pleasure to listen to, as always! Thanks...

Hey Darklava! Oldwood is awesome! I love what you did with the song and there's some great playing in there too! I'm working my way through the rest of your stuff. Thanks for sharing... Tea. Edit...I can't get any of the others to play. Is there a limit on streaming or should I check back later?

Cool! Dazed: I said this before I think this is probably the best I've listened from you but you seem to be improving your songs with every post so I'm likely to be saying this again. Great!
Paul: Another awesome one. I do seem to hear variations with respect to some other of your tunes. Always unexpected yet as Tea said you're very recognizable. Marvelous! Really enjoyed it!!
Steve Le Blanc: Very cool stuff there. How do you go about jamming like that? I mean do you previously agree on a scheme or something? It sometimes got on a "Dirty Harry" soundtrack mood that was great! Thanks for posting! Keep them coming!
Teahead I also enjoyed your post in the other thread. Very good song!
Darklava enjoyed those too. Especially liked Empty Room and Oldwood!
Thanks all for sharing!

Darklava, I really liked "Oldwood". Very cool cover and a great guitar part!! I thought the band could come out front just a little more in relation to the vocals, but that may have been due to the cheap speakers I heard it on. Still, very enjoyable ! I'll check out your other tunes later today. Paul

hariseldon - I appreciate your kind words This and Darkness are probably my two favorite tracks we have done so far. Steve LeBlanc - Thanks for listening and providing some feedback. I have noticed that this mix has sounded different on the systems I have tried it on. I have heard the lack of bass on one system while on another it jumps in nice on the chorus. There is some distortion on one of the guitars that can be heard on the right channel. I want to experiment with bringing that up a bit on the chorus also to give it a drive. I have not seen the master yet. I just need to download it from my FTP Server. My partner owned a recording studio so he does all the mixes. He is remarkable to me but as he said, each mix will sound different to everyone. I appreciate your comments and I will play with the mix when I download it Again, thank you for listening and taking the time to provide some feedback! I learn a lot from all of you so keep them coming.

For anyone into, or thinking of getting into fingerstyle solo guitar I would like to extend the sharing to include two scores in notation and tab. These are available at my homepage: http://www.jimgraham.ca on the "CD's, Links" page. One is a relatively easy(OK maybe intermediate) Celtic style tune called "Deep Cove Hop", the other is a more demanding Flamenco influenced piece, "Train of Thought". My homepage has mp3's of the first minute of each but you can hear them in thier entirety at: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/6/jimgrahammusic.htm . The "Deep Cove Hop" at Soundclick was recorded live earlier this year, Regards, Jim

There's a great variety of styles here. It's wonderful that this forum appeals to a wide audience! Here's my contribution: http://www.soundclick.com/dcrossmusic.htm Some things to note: - These are instrumental & are trying to evoke emotions rather than be hummable or have a catchy hook; I don't really play or write pop tunes; Most of these were recorded & mixed on a Fostex 4 track a decade or so ago, so pay no mind to the production (I'm very surprised at how many musicians will pay more attention to the production rather than the music itself - kind of a pet peeve of mine, sorry). At any rate, I hope you enjoy these as much as I have enjoyed listening to yours! -DC Ross
