I was in Eighth Grade then... I still have the copy of TIME magazine with his portrait on the cover, and a big article on him inside. My history and reading teacher had saved it for me, thinking I would want it, and waited 'till no one else was around to give it to me. What a cool lady, and what a sad thing to have happened.

I really don't know a lot about his murderer, but I can't help but feel kinda sorry for him, having gone down some lonely roads that no-one should.

Actually, I think Yoko said that she'd rather have his birthday (Oct. 9?) remembered, rather than today...because she wanted folks to remember his life.

But, the world grieves today. And wonders. Can't help but wonder what if he hadn't passed away. Would there have been a massive reunion in 94/95 when "Free As A Bird" came out? Perhaps a tour?

And now, what was it, only a couple weeks ago, Nov. 21st of 2001 that George passed away.

Just reminds me more and more that all our days are numbered. Live life to the fullest! L'Chaim!

John was always my "favorite" Beatle. His irreverence in the face of any authority or establishment was the fuel of my own "anti-establishment" thinking, and his sense of humor and fun kept the Beatles from becoming too "serious"... He always looked like he was having a great time, and it's because of him that the Beatles pushed far past the "pop star" image and music that gave them their initial success. It's almost impossible to think that this sort of "change" could happen from the crop of pop stars we see today.

It sickened me to see recently that the album John signed just before his death was auctioned... Worse, someone payed hundreds of thousands for it. Sick.

John was moving through one of the most creative periods of his "post-Beatle" life when he was murdered. In the film I've seen of the days before his death, he seemed VERY excited about music and happy with this stage of his life.

It's tragic someone would murder him for "no reason"...

Lennon: Because of him and his music, I started to play guitar and love the music, he was the inteligent rebel, his personality really influenced me and my vision of the world.
He will always live through his music.
I didn`t know him but I miss him.

I think that what we remember about Dec 8 is the sudden impact that was felt around the world. We celebrate the effect John Lennon had on us all and that was the day that affected us the most.

You know, I kinda have this feeling that that's the way he would have wanted it. "Let it Be"......
Forever loved, forever messed, forever remembered.
