As promised after I cleaned my studio - TRY MY CHAIR FOR FREE (version 2!)

Recommended Posts

Well most of you saw the old ugly (untidy) VR panorama of my Studio. Well, I threw a lot of junk OUT, wiped the FLOOR, and threw some junk back (leaving a large pile of "rubbish" still outside), and WHILE IT WAS CLEAN I made a NEW 3D PANORAMA of the studio Try it at www.Master-Zap.com/studio/ New feature: Hotspots for all gear. (No links that go anywher yet tho, but you can see in your status line what all gear is!) Enjoy. Comments welcome. /Z

pokefee: How I clean up? Well, you take the vacuum cleaner, and you move it in a systematic fashion across the floo... oh.... wait, you meant the 3D panorama? Well, I took a bucketload (60 to be precise) shots from the same tripod location at evenly spaced angle intervals, also looking up and down... and using the FREE software PanoTools (free, neat, but the non-existing user interface will drive you crazy) plus the also FREE add-on user interface PtGui (undoubtedly written by someone frustrated by the non-interface of PanoTools itself ) this was the result! kid music: If you hit the SPACEBAR you see where all the hotspots are. Mouse over them, and in the status line of your browser you have info on "whats what". (Which means Miroslav doesnt have to guess this time ) Bonafide: Yes toy Story II rocks. I am fortunate to have three kids (age 2,4 and 6) so I get to se a truckload of cool kid movies Stevepow: Thank you! Hmm. Steve, have I sent you an email several years ago? Your name rings awfully familiar. /Z

Damn, it doesn't seem to work on my system. Am I missing a plug-in or something? I'm running Netscape 4.7 on a Mac (9600) with OS 9.0. Any clue? I sure would like to check this out. And congrats with mp3, indeed it seems to pay off for you. Inspiring! Emile

It'd be cool if a bunch of us on this board could be able to do this so we could see what each other's recording environment looks like. (Unfortunately, there are only so many hours in the day... I barely have enough time to practice, let alone take photos!) Very cool, Master Zap -- Thanks for sharing it with us!

rold: I take it you refer to this video (with the flying in it)? Before making "actual" videos I did them in flash, like this (unfinished) and this Emile: All you need is being able to run a Java applet. The link directly to the actual panorama file is here so you can at least see the actual picture although its rather pointless outside of a panorama viewer.... popmusic: Yeah would love to see everyones stuff. Mine is just in a garage and I dont even pretend to have the room sound-treated correctly (although the bookshelf which I only a few days ago moved up onto the desk from being behind the chair seems to work as a bass absorber! ) I saw NIN's studio as a panorama once and that gave me the idea... and since I had CLEANED the damned place for once so it didnt look like it normally does - like a bomb has struck - I had to QUICKLY document it /Z

It looks like you do get things done in there, so more power to ya!!!
