Just the VERY best only please. No lists of more than ... say ... three.
Mine are "Walk This Way", Aerosmith and "Legs", ZZ Top.
Anyone else?
Dave

I've always like the "Time an Time Again" video by Papa Roach. Awesome cars and good music. Sure its not anything vituosic, but its still a great song. If you haven't seen the actual video, the Pepsi Blue commercial has segments of it.

I second 'Sledgehammer' as the best video also getting votes... One - metallica Alice in Chains had several good ones Paradise City - GNR had cool live footage. wait, I have a new number one, Warrant's video for Cherry Pie.

3 new, 3 old:
New:
Oh, what the hell. I could name 3 just from Spike Jonze:
Bjork "It's Oh So Quiet" - I'm not a Bjork fan, but this is a great piece of film.
Fatboy Slim "Weapon of Choice" - Christopher Walken. Dancing. Who knew?
Weezer "Buddy Holly" - OK, it's a gimmick. But I still think this is major league clever.
Old: Kate Bush "Cloudbusting" - Film fits music beautifully.
Godley & Creme "Cry" - An old school version what became the overused "morphing" effect. They got much recognition for the outstanding "Every Breathe You Take" video, but I like this one even more.
Art of Noise "Close to The Edit" - Kids, don't take chain saws to your parents' pianos.

I liked some of the old Huey Lewis videos for humorous quality. The one where Huey was Frankenstein, and all the severed heads were singing harmony in the lab. And the one with "Myott"...hilarious. I generally like more experimental videos...rather than just concert footage. Like the Cars' "You might think I'm crazy", Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer", etc. I'm not too big on big dance numbers, but the Janet Jackson one where she went back in time and met a young Cab Calloway was cool. Right now, as I mentioned on another thread, I like Nickel Creek's "Smoothie Song"...not only is it instrumentally great, but it really caters to stuff musicians can relate to.

Thanks, I thought it was a great video, very artistic, and brought the old Celtic custom of "mumming" back to life. After seeing that video, I had to see the band live, and went to their show at Massey Hall, which was recorded, and later released as "Live From Paris and Toronto." The live concert was fabulous, and one of the best sounding concerts I've ever heard, I was totally blown away by Loreena and her band.

I'm not a fan of electronica/technoish music, but I saw the video for the Prodigy's "Smack my bitch up" last night on MusiquePlus, and wow! It's an amazing video that really plays on your preconceptions...one of the best I've ever seen. Kudos for such an original idea. I won't be buying any Prodigy albums tho!
