I walk by the music store this day and they are auctining of their excess of equipment dirt cheap dirt. I saw this Brownsville guitar I was intrigued by it's looks. And mayb tomorrow I mayb like the sound. You guys got any opinions about these guitars. I'm looking for a good al round sound funk, punk and some reggea and rock n roll.
Will this guitar be a good buy

you could go either way with a brownsville. i didn't really like the choirboy that i played, but sometimes there are subtle variation within models that can make all the difference. bottom line is if you like the look, sound, and playability, buy it.

Yeah, the Brownsvilles have surprised me. They're good guitars to buy as is. Also, because they're priced rather low, if you wish to upgrade them later (add better tuners, pickups, etc.), you've got a great deal right there.

The Brownsville Choirboy that I got sounded so horrible that I routed it out to take P90s and put 3 Duncans in it. NOW is sounds like a real butt-kicking guitar!

Welcome aboard Rancid! Don't be afraid to start a new thread...this one is a tale from the crypt LOL! evil

Glad you got your Choirboy working. Nothing like a good set of Pups to bring a lousy sounding electric guitar back to life!
