Who's going to NAMM, and who'd be interested in getting together our usual dinner hang? I've talked to the guys at Keyboard, and Friday night (Jan 20) is looking best for the editorial staff to join us.
There may be - may be - a possibility of some kind of subsidizing by CMP Media (that's the corporate brass), and you'll know as soon as I do.

I know it's early and the holidays are upon us, but for now, I'm just trying to get an initial head count. \:\)

I'm in!

Are you thinking Buca di Beppo, or have you got someplace else in mind?

Bucca is yummy and works really well for large groups, so it's an obvious choice. If we could find somwhere else as user-friendly, I'd be open to a change of venue if others agree. Suggestions are welcome, everyone!

Stephen, don't forget our friend, zeronyne!

(See above.)

Also, shouldn't we try to see if we can round up the rest of the usual forum members who come to these dinners: Craig Anderton, Valky, Phil O'Keefe, gearmike, steadyb, Ken Eleven Shadows, Geosync, Dave the Rave, etc.?

(Please forgive any omissions!)

Addendum: FWIW, I posted about this in both Craig's and Phil's forums.

Best,

Geoff

List edited to include zeronyne... eye fart on my end.

Yep, I've been thinking about those folks. Will make some calls and send some emails this week. Would also be stoked if some newer members who may be at NAMM showed up.

Yu also might wanna make a reservation now. NAMM restaurants get booked pretty quickly...

I usually picked an arbitrary number - like 16-20 people - just to get the reservation in, then modified it as the amount of attendees became clearer.

I have to pass, dammit!

I'm mixing some of the acts at the PRS party at The Grove on Friday night. I'll have some tickets should any of you wish to go after the dinner. Stop by the Synthax booth on Thursday if you want one.

Have a great time at the dinner. \:D

Stephen,

Please put me down as a yes for now. I'm still trying to sort out my schedule to see if I can make NAMM this year, but I've got tentative plans to head down there. Thanks.

I'll have to pass--doing a one day NAMM this year (seems like more than enough time). I'm leaving on an 8:15pm flight out of John Wayne.

I'll try to get to it since the 20th is my companys dinner

However Bucca is a couple of feet from my hotel so I might go and see you for a little while after the dinner. Tom Scott and the LA Express will be playing at the party but Ive seen Tom a couple of times before, so ... I'm IN but not for having dinner.

See you there !

I'm doing my best to free my calendar up for NAMM. I won't really know if I can make it until we have taped out our new chip. If we can do this before Christmas (Festivus ;\) ) then I can come....back to work!!
