I can't find much info on the instrument - anything really. My brother has an offer to buy one but knows little about the instrument.
When was it build? How many sounds? How do the sounds compare? Are there any online resources on the keyboard? Is the OS updatable like other GEMs? What do they go for/is a resonable price today? Does it have a PCM wound engine? How many MB of sounds? Other synthesis? It's 32 polyphonic and 16 multitimbral isn't it?
Is the OS updatable like other GEMs? I believe the O/S for this instrument is on ROM. Everything since is updateable via serial port or CD-R.
What do they go for/is a resonable price today? Can't really help you there, but I would say there is not much else you can get for a $1000.00 that will be near as good as the SX3.
Does it have a PCM wound engine? Wes.
How many MB of sounds? I think it was 6 megs which at the time was very respectable and even now the sounds in the SX3 would be impressive. It is not just how big a sample is, but how it has been manipulated.
Other synthesis? No.
It's 32 polyphonic and 16 multitimbral isn't it? That is correct.
