Dear All,
I have just started playing again after a 12 year lay off. I'd be grateful for recommendations of piano books to help me get back into it - I guess I was about Grade 5/6 when I stopped playing -however, my keyboard (P120S) arrived this week and I have forgotten much more than I expected! When I first learnt guitar, I thought Noad's Solo Guitar Playing was excellent - does something similar exist for the piano - I think I wil have to start with the basics again (I prefer playing Jazz and Blues but some Classical stuff may be a good starting point).
Thanks
James

I've recently found Mark Levine's Jazz Piano Book very helpful. I think a few others on the board would recommend this book as well. He also puts out a book called The Jazz Theory Book. I own that too, but have so far made a lot more use out of the jazz piano book.
