With lots of new keyboards coming out with USB connections, I was wondering if any of them let you connect a flash memory card reader and down/upload sequences, patches, etc... straight to the cards without having a computer. My P250 has a USB connection, but I don't have the right cable ends at the moment to test my question. Anybody else ever think this would be a neat idea???

Fireking99:

I'd check in your manual to see what capability the P250 has for up/downloading and what it can utilize. You could use the USB to connect to a computer, use a soft sequencer, soft synths, and make it the center of your home studio.

I've been using Smartmedia cards to back up my MOTIF ES User/performance banks, and will also use it for storing songs. Everything can be done on the MOTIF ES, although I could connect it to a PC for the editor or things. But I can work with the small screen on the ES just fine.
