Check out Yahama's Rm1x (about $650 new) The electribe series from Korg (the R and A are only about $199 now - the new models about $800). Roland and Boss make similar models, too.
Anything advertised as a "groovebox" is what you're looking for, I believe. So long as in the description it states "pre-programmed patterns" or some such language.

You know, the RM1x is the first thing that came into my mind when I read the post. The cost is a bit more, but it is nice to play along with more than just drums and bass. It is also a bit more useful.

Robert: I was actually suprised that you were selling your RM1X ....it has much deeper waters than most grooveboxes. I don't "record" with it anymore, but I keep mine handy for practicing against other keys (I was planning on using it for the KC Improv. cd) or just laying down a fast beat. The basses can be tweaked quite nicely to sound big and fat. Maybe I should start recording with it again...

Persuitboy: I take it back...if this is your criterion I play out live and am asked to do some different styles. Fox Trot, waltz, cha, cha, tango, swing etc.as well as all the standard rock ,ballad and pop stuff. all of the models mentioned don't fit the bill. These are all dance oriented models and the patterns range from 2 step to house to drum and bass. The casio makes a pretty inexpensive arranger type keyboard with pre-programmed rhythm patterns. For practice - it might be what you're looking for.
