You guys'll love this...

One of my friends on the Hamtech mail list/IRC channel played his C-3 atop a trailer pulled by a recumbent bicycle in a St. Patrick's Day parade in Ottowa. Here's Martin Petersen and his Hammondcycle:

http://www.mkp.net/stpats/

He powered his rig with a UPS...he got an hour and 40 minutes of playing time out of it, covering the duration of the parade.

Thought y'all would get a chuckle out of it..I sure did...pretty imaginative!

TP, whose wife-to-be thinks we should have our dogs pull my B-3 to a gig \:D

WOW! This is too cool!

I only hope that NO Hammond Organs were injured in the making of these pictures! \:D

Are ALL Canadians this crazy? Don't you realize that THERE'S SNOW ON THE GROUND!!

I could understand if this was happening in New Orleans at Mardi Gras, but this is CRAZY! ;\)

Thanks for posting these pictures!

Martin reports that the cyclist only really felt a load when on an upward incline...the rig rolled very easily otherwise, he said. I told him in chat last night that I'd tip my hat to him for creativity, but my hat was in the living room atop my B-3. \:D

I wish I could have been there to see this thing in person...what a hoot!

Did the hammond assembly have brakes on it? With Hammond Leslie UPS and player there must have been 1000 pounds back there. I would hate to have to control that with a bicycle's breaks on the downhills.

Got to like it! Us Canadians will do anything to entertain ourselves thru a long cold winter. Ottawa is the most northern nation's capital in the world. And the most innovative.
