philee
Hello everyone. I've been looking for descent mics and pres for classical and new age applications. I've heard good things about Rode NTK but how does NT1000 compare to NTK? Are they primarily for vocals? Price and simplicity is important and I would like to go without another external power supply. I'd rather have two microphones for the price of one if the sound quality difference is subtle. Any other suggestions on multi-purpose, bang for a buck good mics for acoustic guitar, strings and trumpet? By the way I used AKG C3000 on a violin and it sounded horrible. Also, I've been searching for 8 track mic-pres and narrowed them down to Presonus MP80, Millenia HV-3D, Avalon, True Precision 8, Cransong Spider and so on. What is your choice? I've read and heard mixed reviews on these units. Some preferred one of the above over other units, others preferred Mackies over the others.Your opinion is appreciated.
