guys ...I'm new to the forum...so point me in the right direction...I'm looking for some help with my alesis drum machine (16)...trying to find a way to make a straight country waltz...similar in beat to the tennessee waltz. They have one polka beat...but changing the pads don't help.....so I'm looking for a country guy...that has used and is familar with this unit.

Tennessee Waltz is 3/4 time, so set it up for 3 beats per measure, then record a loop of 4 or 8 measures. One time-honored way is to do a kick-snare-snare (sounds like oom-pah-pah) while tapping a closed hat. Vary 1 or 2 of the measures a bit so it doesn't sound too mechanical.
