Skip_dup1
Hey All I am planning to be someplace in the near future, where there are several cool, guitar-related instruments I may want to take home. But it occurs to me that, unless the person in the shops also happen to play, how do you know how to tune the friggin things? I mean, if you go to Russia and bring home a balalaika, or to Africa and buy an Ngoni, it`s probably not going to be properly tuned when you buy it. Does anyone know of a website or something, where you can find out how to tune an oud, or a shamisen?
Blue Strat
I did a search on some instruments last night (I'm thinking of building something) and came across a pgae on balalaikas. They're tuned EEA or EAD. I'm not sure about the others, but you might find some information at the MIMF . BlueStrat a.k.a.
