please-drive-faster
Ok, just a question here concerning ohms and what not. I have 2 cabs both rated at 8 ohms. One cab (2x10) has 2 inputs and the other cab (1x15) has 1 input. If I hook the 2x10 cab to the amp and run the other input to the 1x15 cab would that be running in series of parallel? Also, 2 8 ohm cabs in series would be 16 ohms, and 2 8 ohm cabs in parallel would be 4 ohms, right? Thanks for any help. fantasticsound
Instrument amp cabs are almost universally wired with parallel inputs, when two inputs are available. This allows you to daisy chain two speakers in parallel. Yes, the resulting impedance from two 8 ohm cabs in parallel is 4 ohms. Be careful your amp can handle that load and that it has the power (watts) to drive both speaker cabs. It's easiest to find me on Facebook.
